Recommended Items:

5 in 1
6″ Putty knife
Tiger paw
Garbage bags
Pump Sprayer (Garden Sprayer)
Diff or chomp wall paper removal
cloth drop sheets

Best practices :

  1. Soak the entire surface with warm water and a pump sprayer. Be careful around sensitive items as you work your way around the room I.E. electrical outlets, switches and devices. Let is soak for 15-20 minutes. Repeat the process several times. Be sure to clean as you go. The wall paper glue is reactivated during removal and can be a hassle to clean up later on.
  2. Do a small test area to see if the paper will come off with ease. If so proceed with 6″ putty knife. Make sure that you do not press too hard as it will dig into the drywall or plaster finish. If you have trouble move to step 3
  3. If not you may want to try some wallpaper removal solution. Mix a batch in the pump sprayer. Make sure that you follow the manufactures specific directions. (located on the product label). Do a small test area just like step 2. If it works proceed with the removal. If you still have issues move to step 4.
  4. Use tiger paw in circular motions while applying very little pressure. If you press too hard this will score the top of the drywall finish.
  5. The object is to get the top of the paper cut so the chemical can penetrate through. If successful follow the above steps.
  6. By this time you have used most of the easier methods. If you are still having difficulty you may want to consider using a steam machine or consulting with a professional.
